Kind of the same thing here...
Sir, your skepticism is well founded.

However, there does seem to be a growing body of glowing experiences with, and good recomendations for this box. I was always a bit dismayed that they would be selling for so much, but the prices reported seem to be pretty stable across the board. So does the price for a lot of garbage - I'm not suggesting that because something is sold for a lot of money, it is necesarily worth it.

However, the skepticism (including your own), the haw-hawing and stupid posts on this topic are to be expected considering the magnitude of the claims involved. And, few seem to be able to get ahold of one, without paying an arm and a leg for it, apart from the fortunate.

So, I'm while I'm still reserving some judgement myself, it seems that I am discovering more praise regarding this unit than detractions, and what's more, more praise every day. So, I'm more sold on it, than not, IMO. Perhaps it works for some, and not for others: I don't know many tools that would work in every circumstance.

What's your point? Or do you have one?

There's enough ridiculousness in this thread without us joining in, UT. If TO wasn't the most reliable place to discuss this kind of thing, I'd move to another board.

Is that the right one? There's one on ebay right now, for the ironically perfect price of $35. I'm considering getting it, but it doesn't seem to make sense unless I can find someone who knows how to do the mods, or at least what they are so I can DIY.

It's a fucking DJ MIXER.

Did they make big DJ mixers like this in the 70s? No. Is this likely to be have the same circuitry as the 70s blackface EQ in discussion here? Pretty unlikely.

We have heard about

- silver face RSEQs
- 10 band RSEQs
- RSEQs for the car
- RSEQs with multicolour leds
and finally now,
- A 7 band fucking DJ mixer RSEQ.

And, as far as we can acertain, none of the above have anything to do with the topic at hand.

Next please.

If only VSV could be loaded up and we could hear what Mary Lou Retton thought of the RSEQ...
Actually - I think I'd like to hear Bea Arthur's opinion on all this first!

I think the critical mod, or the most critical mod, took the harmonic distortion way down, so those specs off the site look pretty accurate.

I've got a stereo blackface 10-bander if anyone's got something they want to trade for it. I know it's not the infamous 7-band but who knows... it could be the next big thing!

Yer Mom is quite indiscrete, and a bit class B if I do say so myself.

You'll never live like common people
You'll never do whatever common people do
You'll never fail like common people
You'll never watch your life slide out of view
And then dance and drink and screw
Because there's nothing else to do
