This is the best tool I've used for recording myself. It's even better than my old Otari remote because it's wireless, tiny, and it has the ability to adjust levels.

I got it at guitar center for $179.

if you record drums by yourself and you suck like i do, this thing will save you a lot of time.
now when i screw up the 80th take, just hit undo and try it again.

also handy for eliminating the single coil buzz. just shut of the comp monitor and use the display off of the tranzport.

lots of assignable key combinations, etc.

best $200 i've spent in the studio.

Are you serious? hah that's crazy.

For poor people like me who can't afford this thing yet, you can pick up a wireless keyboard and mouse combo for like $30. I'm sure it doesn't have the range of the Tranzport, but it allows me to use the transport controls from behind my drumkit across the room.

I've had terrible luck with wireless keyboards. I've only used one that had any decent range was the Logitech diNovo... which is like $100 anyway... and feels like a laptop keyboard. Not a good buy in my book.

Will some one do a test and tell me what the resolution of the knob is when recording automation? If it's set to control volume, what increments does it move in?

Big preesh.

I have it, it's just one of those breakthrough products that is a must have.
I have one older TDM system which is still OS9.2 (gasp) and I sort of neglected this when I bought it, BUT I have the 002 rack and works great with that,
Also it works great with REASON
