It definitely looks like an MXL 2001 - since they often (always?) ship with only a clip, no shockmount, that would explain the weird looking mount. Maybe that's one of those universal shockmounts made by that guy Gary who used to drum for the Pavement? I think he's in the same neck of the woods as the Granddaddy folks.
