Slowing/Speeding up Tempo but not key in PTools LE?

Post by cashed checks » Sun Apr 29, 2007 11:18 am

Is there an easy way to do time stretches in PTLE on a mac? I'm running PTLE 6.4 on OSX 10.3.4.

came up empty on searches.

On a single track, or on a whole song?

if it's 1 track, it should be under AudioSuite->Other->Time Compression Expansion. this creates a new file sped up or slowed down to the length you specify.

the easier way to do it (which i know at least is available in PT7, i missed PT6 b/c i didn't use PT for a while) is to use the block edge dragging tool (F6, looks like a right bracket) in TCE mode. This allows you to drag the region you're expanding / compressing visually to the new length you want it to be.
