sound forge ignores file name... calls everything sp0000.wav

Post by fortune 500 company » Wed May 09, 2007 11:53 am

Hi,
I use Sound Forge at work (legal copy) and for some reason it has started saving everything as sp0000.wav, then if that filename already exists, sp0001.wav, and so on. When I go to save it prompts me to enter a filename. I do - and then regardless of what I have entered, this is the name Soundforge chooses. Super annoying! It never used to do this. I even tried allowing it to save as the default 'sound_1.wav' or whatever and still it called even THAT sp0001.

any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
