huh. my gut impulse upon hearing of the death of a major label is to laugh my ass off and spit on their grave. is EMI different or something?

How exactly does that announcement mesh with this announcement.

I assumed that the Apple/EMI no-DRM announcement was EMI's attempt to climb out of a hole. Maybe it was just a move to cater to a buyer.

That's the reason why I posted this in the first place. Abbey Road could close it's doors in a few weeks.

heh, so they're being sold to Warner's.. sigh. Albini is going to have to amend The Problem With Music, beginning with:
