Beyer M67...Anyone with any info?

Post by chetatkinsdiet » Wed Aug 01, 2007 4:56 pm

I just got a Beyer M67 that someone threw in on some other mics I bought. Looks really interesting and very 60s. It's got an M-S switch at the bottom, sort of like an MD421. Let's hope that's what it sounds like. I haven't made it to the studio to plug it in to check it out yet, but I'd imagine it's something in that neighborhood...maybe an SM57 meets an MD421. Pretty big and heavy. I've never seen one before and net searches don't bring up anything. Let me know if you have one or know what they're like.

The only true great mic on this planet is the Shure SM-57. It is the most consistant in not totally sucking of anything ever built. All other mics are "application dependant".
