I go to a bar where the diffusion of music is a mess.
I want to make a box that will sum the stereo progamme into mono go back out to a power amp that will control 2 zones instead of left right and have 4 speaker outputs. The levels and impedances are: CD player out -10; power amp in -10; power amp out 8 ohms; all speakers 8 ohms.
If I run 2 8 ohm speakers in parallel (4 ohms) out of an 8 ohm output what's going to happen? will I need some kind of a load? What?
thanks for any ideas.

Most power amps are "happy" running into 4 Ohms. Run relatively thick cable (as in 16 or 14 gauge) from the amp to the speakers.
