Really cool New York Times blog thingy with different songwriters here: http://measureformeasure.blogs.nytimes. ... l-history/

What really caught my eye was that Andrew Bird is working with Mark Nevers in Nashville. The most recent post referenced a Nevers technique of tracking vocals and guitars really hot to analog tape. Mr. Bird said it helped him to hear even tiny details when listening to the track in his car and driving 80 mph.

It got me thinking: with all the talk on this board about keeping tracking levels reasonable in the digital realm, how would one recreate this same effect in digital?

Hmm?
