Doh! I mis-spoke, it was a ported kick on the front.

Hey Rocket did you work on the new Broken West album? Did you use this method on one of the songs? I heard a track from then new album earlier this week and it sounded great.
No I didn't, they tracked that up at the Hanger in Sacto with the Pernice Bros. producer.
