The brown truck just delivered a brand new 16 track headstack for my 2" JH16 tape machine. Fresh from Mr. John French's collection. Absolutely no wear, 100% condition report. I'm so psyched I can't think straight....I never thought I'd get a 16 track stack, let alone one that will last me till I'm 50. Awesome!!!

So after testing my Rat Deucetone out for a few days, I really love it! It has great chord definition even on high gain settings, not loss of low end like my other single Rat pedal does, not fizzy sounding like a lot of stomp boxes, and it is very versitile. I should have trusted my intuition years ago and just bought the fucking thing when I first thought about it. Well my search is over. I finally have a distortion pedal I can keep on my board!

I'm really happy. I bought these QE442's from Larry Crane and had a great tech go through them and rack 6 in the wooden cabinet with a new power supply. They originally had the line amp cards and output transformers mounted behind the black panel with the blue knobs... He was able to utilize a amplifier stage within the PE module in leu of the cards, he used the output transformers with these; resulting in the same uh circuit topography with less stuff. I've been tracking with them this week, and love the sound... Oh and he put leds in the solo mute toggle switches, so it looks good in the dark again. :D

They are QE PE 442 (Quad Eight Pan Echo 442) input modules.. They don't have eq, but they do have quadraphonic panning...

from this console:

This is what the guts of the pan echo module look like:

These are the dual line amp cards (transformers are around frame)

Wil Bailey in Seattle did the work. He is putting together a side car with other parts from the same console. He's a great guy and did such nice work. I'm stoked and they do sound great.

AKG d202 from evil bay for $75 that does indeed work, both ends of it!

Moogerfooger LPF from here on tape op that I have yet to try out.

Sennheiser e901 that I got cheap here on Tape op that I have yet to really run through its paces.

And some Auratone Mixcubes that I look forward to using after i brake them in for a few days of loud play while I am not home.
