Getting there... installed a new console, broadband absorption throughout the room, finally everything on the patchbay, and enough fabric and lights to turn this basement room into a tent. The idea was to make the room as dead as possible and then add diffusion over the absorbers strategically... that's the next step. The room's response at mix position has already improved dramatically, particularly in terms of being able to accurately monitor low end, and thankfully the couch area is still a massive bass trap (they don't mind, and no one ever complains about not being able to hear the bass or kick drum!)

The main console is a Yamaha PM-2000, and that little auxiliary mixer next to it is a scoundcraft series 200. Those racks have also fleshed out quite a bit since that photo was taken, although the trashbag by the couch bottom left is still there
