HELP locating Tascam System 20 manuals

Post by SubGroove » Wed Dec 11, 2013 8:50 am

Good morning,

I am setting a somewhat portable 8 track analog recording rig and plan to use an old Tascam MM-20 mixer, expander and EQ to get my signals to tape. I am desperately searching for a copy of the manuals,

Does anyone have a copy laying around?

Many thanks!

Sean

Have you looked on ebay or called TEAC? They have PDFs of most manuals.
Thank you, Mario, but our princess is in another castle.

Thanks for the info. I did check with Tascam but they didn't seem to have one laying around. The lady on the phone was very helpful though! Seem like good people over there.

Yeah, they are good.

I think Ebay would be your only other option. I see many old manuals pop up on there.

Any experience purchasing manuals from this website?

I found this website that claims to have copies of the manual I need. Has anyone had any experience with this site. I am hesitant to just place an order..

I have the Google working on my computer.

It found a reference
http://homerecording.com/bbs/general-di ... ns-153324/

to a site with a guy claiming to have a manual.
http://www.bjtechserv.com/garage/BJTS_garage.htm

The site is gone, but archive.org has it, and the link to the manual.

Wow this is so great!! I cant thank.you enough! I'm enjoying this little system immensely but know there is so many more possibilities. I am recording a demo of my band using this system hooked up to a Fostex 80. Laid tracks down just the other night and I'm happy with what I hear so far. Had many questions regarding midtown with the system 20. Your link will help answer them

Thank you!!

Glad it was useful.
I like how Tascam throws a lot of science/electronics background into their manual (still have my Porta One documentation somewhere).
