According to their site:
Knob expense and unavailability has forced us to change the RNLA's all-red knob to a black knob with red stripe (same as RNC, but with a red stripe). The photo will be change we're able to schedule a re-shoot!

Knob expense and unavailability has caused many changes throughout history.

I have a red-knob, myself; I reckon it's now "vintage".

Mine came with black knobs almost 2 years ago. I called them to ask what's up with that and he said that's all they had at the moment. I admit I was a little tweaked about it.

I also don't understand why people describe the effect/color as "thick" and "gooey". It does have a smidge of color but nothing as radical as thick and gooey.

Sorry, U.; that was pretty noxious, I agree.

Anywhat, the RNLA compared to the RNC, does seem more "colored", and less subtle or transparent.

I do agree that it is not "thick and gooey", but I really like it on vocals, sometimes on electric guitars.

It's in the vocal chain (RE320-PM100-RNLA) on this track I did in March.
