That's awesome! You should experiment with tape delay using each machine for a feedback. that would be rad! by moving the machines closer or farther away for each other you could control the CRAZY long delay. hahaha I challenge you to find a useful song to do this on!

You should do a bit about doing your taxes on a slide ruler. ha! or maybe get a hold of some plugin emulations and do shootouts with the real gear it emulates.

You should use that setup to record MSE's all-snare-drum drum set.

classic! but... I'm sure you will be matched/outdone by a plug-in soon enough...

my favorite part is "past the motorcycle." that is some esoteric gear...

The building's big enough to do laps INSIDE with the motorcycle.

yeah to get several delays in a row you link up four or five tape machines. Although they need to be running really fast for the delay to be useable because you'll usually end up with a three five second delay.
Have you folks tried just using a four track and running the delay from track one into two then track two into three and so one to get several delays that don't repeat.

great idea...haven't tried that, but on a couple projects i ran guitars to a 1/4" delay, to the (real) chamber & then back to the 2" machine, then back to the 1/4" delay, to the chamber again, etc. it got REALLY swimmy and cool!
