The analogman? modified Boss TR-2 is kind of the bee's knees. I've been using mine for about a year now.

SupaTrem is awesome. Versatile. Internal trimpots to tailor it to your sound.
Only issue are, (a) is that it adds a pretty noticeable boost in the high end when it's behind an overdrive or fuzz pedal. I haven't fig'd out how to tame it, but I'm working on it, and (b) it's HUGE. Take up a lot of space on the pedal board.

couldn't agree more. love my shape shifter. great tap tempo tremolo for the price. very easy to use and very tweakable.sears wrote:The Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter satisfies my needs. I listened to demos of them all and it does different envelopes really well and stutters like anything. I got it because I miss the tremolo on the AC-15 I used to have, and I use the Shape Shifter for that and other things all the time now. I think it hits a sweet spot of price and features. The Seek Trem is cool but it sacrifices some of the EZ envelope shaping tools in order to have that sequencer. It was also a lot more expensive.

Look into the Black Cat Mini Trem; that's a nice pedal, very smooth effect with tone shaping capability. Really nice effect. Kicks the crap out of amp tremolo any day...

DR. SCIENTIST TREMOLESSENCE!
Otherwise I've seen the Boss TR-2 hold its ground on pedalboards with piles of boutique stuff.
Still... Dr. Scientist.

As far as bang for buck goes, I agree. Same with the newer Danelectro cool cat tremelo. I think they sound great.Dr Rubberfunk wrote:I've got the Danelectro Tuna Melt and rate it highly for such a budget pedal. I bought it to use with my Pianet T electric piano, but it's equally useful on guitar. I'm a fan of the hard/soft switch for those DJ-mixer-transformer / pickup-selector-switch on/off effects when in hard mode.blungo2 wrote: I hear good things about the danelectro trems, but haven't used one.
Demo on youtube which gives a good idea of the sounds it can do : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtA9quZstLs
