why i wish i could repair my rev7 without the bench fees!!!junkshop wrote:WEM Copicat Tape delay!
I actually bought this about 2 years ago and it's been on the work bench waiting for me ever since. The motor just didn't have enough juice and would slow down and stop once a tape loop was loaded. Couldn't figure it out. Took the motor apart, cleaned it, rebuilt it. Nothing.
And then......it hit me. These things were built in the UK. Mine has a 2 prong North American plug but look untouched otherwise. Turns out there are a few wires on the transformer/motor that have to be swapped around for 110V operation. The last owner swapped the plug but that was all.
10 minutes and a little solder later it's done.
I love fixing stuff. It's like buying new stuff and getting rid of old junk all at once.
Latest gear you've acquired.....

huhuhuhuh... blast...huhuhuhuhhuh easiest fastest...huhuhuhuuh....junkshop wrote:Might be worth popping the hood and taking a look.
There's a good chance that the input problem is a bad solder joint and the wet/dry thing can probably be cleaned up with a blast of contact cleaner. Two of the easiest/fastest fixes ever.
will do, gotta reconfigure the rackage units anyhow and switch-a-roo some things... might as well check it then!

Supro Supreme (1947) amp with original speaker (field coil). Just got it yesterday and turned her on today. Excellent! The oldest amp in my collection thus far.
ESP Ltd guitar (Les Paul style) I traded a guy my Schector and couldn't be happier. Sounds quite nice and is lighter than my Les Paul. Amazing sustain and beautiful finish to boot.

You will thank yourself for that, or at least your clients should. When I got that system I realized how free I felt not worrying about headphone mixes, I could actually listen to what?s being recorded.Furman HDS-6/HR-6 headphone system
Very cool.
