Depending on what you want to spend you can go cheap with Ikea or Musicians Friend.
If you want to go up a notch. Try Argosy, Middle Atlantic Furniture, or Omnirax.

one center desk and one side desk in particleboard...what price would be considered as moderate? is it cheaper to DIY?

unless you already have a ton of wood you got for free...no.
remember, the chinese get wood a lot cheaper than you do at home depot.

I know they do. That's why I want to stop stocking made-in-china items because our apetite for cheap price has caused them envirormental catastrophy...talking about bad situation.
