Okay,
I fucked up and APPLIED an effect to a track and I can't seem to get it off.
any ideas.
don't say retrack!!!

go back in your history untill its done? DP shouldn't do anything distructive. so the original, and effects files should both be in your audio file folder.

what have you done to try to get it off? What do you mean by you can't? You can highlight the insert and just hit your delete key. If that doesn't work, then it sounds like a system glitch...like there are some bugs in your install.

Open soundbites window. You can drag files from there into the sequence editor. Or import from the audio folder. Or go through your undo history one at a time...little blue arrow on left in undo history. This can take some time..... CPU...

When you apply an effect, it makes a new file. The old file should still be in your "audio" folder (I'm pretty sure).

You know you can also apply effects as inserts in the Mixer window, right? That way they don't affect the soundbites (god I hate that MOTU uses that term for sound files).

Actually, I always use the mixer for effects. I've only printed effects on a few tracks, and even now I can't think of why I did it.
