TapeOp Podcast

Post by Hackneyed » Sat Sep 23, 2006 4:22 pm

I heard the nowcastnetwork.com podcast, which is more for high-end studios. Pretty cool, but are there any podcasts like TapeOp?

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

The other thing, we can't talk about.

Not really, but everyone who does the Creot Radio podcasts hangs out here.

A TO podcast could be really interesting--those of us who do interviews could edit our tapes and have audio versions of feature articles.

A lot of work, though.

My vote for the theme song would be IR's "Rattrap!"

Maybe not Larry, 'cos he's a busy bee, but some of the other more diligent DIYers here.

I found a coupla' other home recording podcasts and well it's pretty good but very adult contemporary. They seem to love that treble EQ. Ugh...

Cereal, totes, that wang be boo..uh, right-o, then, sounds great, person I irregularly communicate with. What's an "inverseroom" anyway? I definitely don't know what you do for a living!

Seriously, a podcast would be awesome - you could have *audio* samples of what different stuff sounds like (like a compression primer! Or the latest cohort of free VSTs, or a face off between or mics or pre-amps or whatever...)

It would indeed be a lot of work, though. Somebody ambitious could maybe aggregate different "segments" from variuos audiophiles and make it into one show.

Things have been talked about on this thread. Things that no man should *ever* talk about.
