Anybody heard one yet? It's about $80, so I don't expect a miracle (even a minor one), but I do have a thing for square mics.

Gotta love that! "These BLUE guys must be onto something with these ball things. What can we do that's along the same lines? Hmmm.... I GOT IT!"

A triangular mic would have been MUCH cooler, although that thing does have the intriguing look of a bastard cross between a D12 and a 414.

it rather resembles a number of saltine crackers several weeks in age, being held together by a rubber band.

i bet it sounds crunchy and salty

Well, it's just about cheap enough to buy one for the hell of it.

I'm going in.

MXL is kind of like taco bell. They only have seven ingredients but the potential for recombination seems to be endless.

That is a beautiful mic. I almost bought one once...got the M160 instead, which I sure have no complaints about...

Actually I think the ML19 is one of my favorite-lookin' mics ever. That and the 441.

What's really interesting about Taco Bell is that every combination tastes exactly the same - you're selecting for texture, not flavor. Likewise with most of these under $100 mics - they all sound pretty much the same, but have a wild variety of packages.

I've been tempted to buy that AT 2020/2021 combo, because I suspect that the innards on both mics are exactly the same.

The ML-19 is an excellent mic. I should get some of those things.

Crap, I just noticed it jumped $20 in price. Must be the TOMB effect.
Looks less intriguing now.

Don't worry, you'll be able to find it everywhere in a year for $50 when MXL realeases a dodecahedron mic with the 603 capsule inside.
