The Lowender
You have to check this plugin out!
I was honored to be part of developing this awesome plugin.
Finally have an all in one plug to do what I used 3 analog boxes to do!
( 120xp>drive>LPF ) ...
Then I would go to some kind of limiter. The Lowender is really great!
Check it.
Thanks to leigh for making it happen! Lowend junkies take notice, your plugin has arrived!

I hope they put a demo up, I have been looking for a good subharmnoic synth.

Looks interesting. I just got a DBX 110 sub bass synth based on Joel's recommendation -- I'm sure this does more but I'm loving some subtle 110 on kick. dubby! Joel how did you use the Lowender? Any track examples?

Ask Leigh.
He is the mastermind behind it!
It works just like the subharmonic synth, but with some fun refinements and features, like the drive and LPF.
Whenever I use a sub synth, I usually distort it a bit to get some harmonics back up into the bass, but I need to LPF the "buzz" off of the squarewaving I am creating with the intersound IVP i use for this. I use either a blacet reasarch, MOTM, or electrix LPF for this, depending on what the lowend needs to do in the mix. For something like a heavy dub record ( dub trio, if you know what that is ),
I used the electrix with some of the "buzz" along with the IVP for drive after the 120... it just "glues" the sub sound to the original bass in a way I love. I suggested the more aggro drive control, and the LPF for this very reason. You can get some "dillinja" type bass out of this if you mult it and modulate one side! stereo bass growl from hell!

I am amazed anyone caught that! Right on!citystate wrote:i just saw the dillinja reference joel, you're saying this plug will make my studio sound like the 'valve sound system'?!?!?!
(it has 52 subs...)
The lowender can help you get towards that grinding, amazingly dense lowend sound!
Check it out (when you can).

Hey,
I just saw this thread, I'm glad to see that folks are interested in this plug-in!
A demo will be up very soon, we're just finalizing some things. In the meantime, I put a couple sound clips up this week.
The price will most likely be $39.
We plan to port this to PC in 2007, but we're getting it off the ground with the Mac version first.
Cheers,
Leigh
PS: How many of the Mac users here are already using Intel Macs?

Its a great piece of gear tho, super fast and totally portable. So far I have recorded on a hill and in a cave! Just hoping that more companies will start writing stuff in universal and then Ill feel the full power of this chipset.
