D-Tar mixing/blending preamp

Post by sthslvrcnfsn » Tue May 01, 2007 6:50 pm

This little sucker is made for guitar players, but looks cool for mics as well. You could conceivably piggy-back the two channels for a lot of gain.

Bad parts: only +15V phantom power; only one mixed/blended ouput.

Good parts: 20Hz-80kHz frequency response; switchable EQ; switchable -20 dB pad; phase reverse switch; 40 dB of gain on mic inputs; insert points on each channel; footswitchable for guitar players and performers.

This thing would be very cool for performance stuff, obviously, but I wonder about using it in a recording setup. The footswitching and blending wouldn't be too big of a benefit here, but it's got pretty much every feature you would need for it to be a dedicated microphone preamp. and how about that frequency response?!!!

Cool idea. Wonder if it sounds good...
