Spruce top, mahogany back and sides.
Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Got the stand for the Stagg EUB and I think it will work well to hold the bass while playing - now just gotta find the time to learn some technique.
Gotta cuppla dirt pedals that I haven't had time to work with yet ... I'll write about 'em later.
Don't think I mentioned I bought some LaBella taped flats for my Beatle-bass - really sound good.
Finally, using a 5 y.o. Pavilllion 17 laptop that started out on W8 (up'd to W10) to run some plugs for my psuedo-mastering. After the latest MS updates it was running slower than a drunk snail, got to fooling, realized the DDR3 was only 4 megs. 4 megs! I have two of the exact same pooters (home and orifice) so I bought a pair of 8 Megs and whacked 'em in to make 12 megs = like a new ride.

An Earthquaker Devices Afterneath pedal. It's sitting at the USPS until Monday. Boo....

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Hey I just got an Afterneath too! Traded in a couple guitars for some pedals. Besides the Afterneath, which I honestly have only used for a second so far, I got a Keeley Compressor+, an Earthquaker Plumes (their tube screamer) and a Walrus Audio Lore, which is instant shoegaze goodness.
Also sprung for a Truetone one spot pro and some nice low profile patch cables, gotta go to the Depot today to get some wood to make a board for all this junk.

That Plumes pedal is great. I think of it as having 3 basic flavors, and much better than a TS and other clones/influenced.
Pretty good on bass, as well - on the EQD thing, the new Speaker Cranker is cool, also.
Never met a EQD pedal I don't like.

Cool. As to overdrives / distortions, I am going to try the JHS ones that do tons of versions of the Rat and the Tubescreamer. More flavors... less pedals.

Bit the bullet and got the Plugin Alliance's offer to buy all their plugins for $399.
Mind you, I already owned quite a few, so this was to complete the collection, as it were.

Any favs so far? I also own a lot of PA plug-ins already, but mostly stuff like the Unfiltered Audio.Nick Sevilla wrote: ↑Fri Dec 30, 2022 7:06 pmBit the bullet and got the Plugin Alliance's offer to buy all their plugins for $399.

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
I have a bunch too (37) and use the Dangerous Music Bax EQ on pretty much every mix (master fader). Sometimes, depending on the project, I like these: Townhouse Bus compressor, Opticom XL-3, Ampeg SVT_VR, Ampeg SVT3-Pro, Bassdude (on bass or guitar), Bx Masterdesk True Peak, rooMS, and others. I bought most of them really cheap and it's nice to have a few to pick from when I'm searching for a sound and not getting it out of my regular go-to plugins.

I like using the weirdo plug ins to make new sounds quite a bit. After that, the AMEK stuff is great. And the channel strips, they are a time saver.kslight wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 8:20 amAny favs so far?
