What is that? Looks like a bontempi or similar.vvv wrote:All y'all might recall my search a cuppla years ago for a good-sounding EZ synth, and based on yer reco's I bought the Yama S-03 and love it.
But I still need something can just sit on the shelf and be whipped out for a quickie, eh, keys fill - you know, just a pad behind a chorus, say.

It's also totally amazing on snare as long as you trust the drummer not to whack it. I'd use it there every session but I only trust about 1% of the drummers I record.A.David.MacKinnon wrote:joninc wrote:many thanks to @a.david.mackinnon for the tip - this mic rules on acoustic guitar and drum overhead/rm
It's my favourite on pretty much anything. Sounds great on brass too.

Shopped the Ebog, bought:
Some used 12AT7 and 12AU7 tubes, the latter for mic's. I put a 12AT7 in the V1 of my Tiny Terrror and cleaned it right up - not sure I'll leave it like that but ... Also put one in my Por,Jr. and I am leaving it there as I use it as a pedal-platform and now get a awesome loud clean. Outta 5 tubes, one 12AU7 is a touch noisy (in decay) in the Pro,Jr but even so not unusable.
Mooer Pitch Box: makes some nice chorus-type sounds right up to some offensive re-tune sounds. Not sure how useful the "harmony" setting is, at least for me. I just wanted it as a noise-box to fit in a small space on my board, so it works well for that for cheap.
EHX Freeze: I can't talk about this because then all y'all will buy 'em up before I get another for cheap.

Danelectro Wasabi forward/reverse delay pedal.
This thing is fun as hell! The great thing about it is you can turn the mix all the way up so there's none of the original sound... this is absolutely essential for a reverse delay, but for some reason rare. The tone is great too... sounds really clear and natural and not weirdly digital like other digital delays I've used.
As far as I know the reverse is essentially the same circuit as the dano backtalk which goes for twice as much, with half the function. I don't get that.

Surprising quality on this bass uke, except the electronics don't work and the seller won't replace just them, so it's going back.
Came with paint defects so I got some $ back. Lightest guitar I ever played, but playable, and a steal at under US$100. I recorded it through a HRDX and it sounds good. I envision it on stage, at some point.

A set of Seymour Duncan Triple Shot pickup mounting rings. Built in switches, I'm going to put my (previous buy) P Rails in them, another couple of switches on push/push pots to get phase switching and series / parallel between the 2 double coils. And probably end up just using 2 sounds out of the thousands of combinations.
