Cr1604 vlz problem

Post by TheGreatOne » Fri Jun 19, 2009 2:42 pm

Hey all, I have a 1604, about 10 years old, that now has this problem: channels 6 thru 13 won't show up in the main buss. If I put a signal to any of them, the signal is audible in solo mode only.
I've opened the case to have a look and note that its all multi-pin connectors. Since this problem affects adjacent channels rather than random ones, is it possible that one of the connectors is either unplugged or bad?

Any help anyone could throw my way would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Kev

There's many ribbon type connectors that are known to work loose, get dirty etc. If you have it open I would remove and clean all the connectors you can with De-oxit .
Does your mixer have the add on mic pres?(7-16) It has a ribbon conn to.
