Fostex cr500

Post by capnreverb » Tue Nov 03, 2009 4:25 am

My old tascam burner of over 10 years is not working right anymore. Even with 16x or less discs, It wont format the disc right most of the time. I figured it might be best to move on even though I love it. The only affordable option with balanced in's and out's seems to be the Fostex cr500. Anybody have one and want to share the ups and downs on it? Any other stand alone units that you guys love, preferably with balanced i/o's? I don't want to go the straight to computer route. My set up is a HD24 going into a Soundcraft Ghost.

oh.... the cr500 goes for about $450 new.

thanks!
