Hey People,
A book I'm reading -> You Are Not a Gadget, by Jaron Lanier has made me decide to start charging a bit of money for the drum beats that I'm currently giving away for free.
I used to think that they weren't good enough to charge money for, and maybe they're not, but I'm thinking that instead of waiting for them to get good enough and then charging, charging will make me get them up to snuff. I'll have some incentive to do a better job, be more creative, crank out more product.
So, I need some shopping cart software. I want something that makes it really easy for me to post a file. People could hear a sample of it that they can't download to their own computer until they paid me via PayPal (or something). I'm not looking to make a profit, I'm thinking of charging $0.50 or $1.00 or something small per beat. So, I want cheap software that just does this one thing fairly easily. I have ready access to a Linux server running PHP.
Does anyone know of anything that will make it worth it and easy to take micropayments for my bits of music like this? It doesn't seem like the web has delivered on this concept yet. But maybe I'm wrong.
I need an online shopping cart for music
