online sheet music service?

Post by justinf » Thu Apr 28, 2011 10:46 am

I couldn't really decide where to put this, so mods if you think it should be elsewhere please do so. . .

Do any of you guys/gals buy sheet music online? If so, what is the best service in your opinion? I only buy music once in a blue moon and am happy to pay a fair price, but not interested in proprietary software, bad interface, etc.

thanks!

I bought a couple things off http://musicnotes.com a while back. I didn't use their software or interface, so I can't speak to that. Just printed out some PDFs. They had the stuff I needed (kind of esoteric) and at a fair price.

if what you want is out of copyright, check out imslp and other archives of scans of old music. they have huge amounts of decent quality sheet music for free.
