Head cleaning solvent

Post by 1grex » Tue Nov 29, 2011 11:27 am

With the discontinuation of Caikleen A/V I was wondering what everyone is using these days to clean their analog tape heads/path. Thanks

Doesn't anybody/everybody use Iso Alchohol anymore?

I haven't done the all analog thing in ages. But here's a link to a bunch of stuff for sale (no idea as to it's effectiveness):

We use 721 by American Recorder Tech. Safe for the rubber and gets the heads clean fast fast.

Haven't been using a lot of tape lately, but have been using iso alcohol when I do. Used to use Freon TF when I was doing a lot of tape. Safe for rubber.
