Hi
I just found my old Drewsonics Sherlock in the attic and would love to get it working. Does anyone know how much power it needs?
That would be a good place to start. I can post pics later. Or maybe I remove the circuit board and start again. I don't remember if this thing ever worked and that's why it was probably orphaned.
thanks
Harley

Even when they're working, you'll ask yourself if they're broken.
I think it wants a 9 Volts DC supply. The most common mod for them was to add a big electrolytic capacitor (1000 uF, 25V) across the power rails at the input, to soak up some 60 Hz hum.
It also operates at mic level - you patch it in between the mic and preamp. Line level signals murder it.
I had all the paperwork from mine, scanned it and sent it to Peterson Goodwyn. I don't know if he ever got it put up.

If it is a 'faithful' replica of the Shure Level Loc, it is a mic level device. If you want something in the family that can be used on an insert its LevelOr time. The Scum wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 10:38 amEven when they're working, you'll ask yourself if they're broken.
