AKG D3600

Just bought an akg d3600 on a whim as an alternative(and in this case cheap) to the bass/kick standards. Apparently its a dual diaphram dynamic. Everything else in my small mike box is so generic I am excited about trying something two steps off the beaten path. Anybody use one successfully (or unsuccessfully)?

i had one for a while, sold it for like $35.

it was really ODD sounding. i couldnt get it to work for me. i kinda wish i kept it... my general experience with ODD sounding mics is that there is always some great application just waiting for them somewhere... i just didnt find it.

i like the cool 80's design of it though.

oh no wait. i think i had a d3500. yeap that is what i had. i read that the d3600 was the best of the lot...
