'Can' got psychadelic. If you're talking about long improvisations and lots of effects and tape experiments, Monster Movie totally had both in 69, Tago Mago in 71. Def check them out if you don't have them.

You would probably love OS Mutantes. Brazilian psych, I would recommend either of their first two...After that they get a little two jammy for my tastes. Also, you should really check out the recently reissued Euphoria record titled a gift from Euphoria. Really crazy eclectic socal psych mixed with bluegrass and huge string interludes. Really out there for 69'. Also if you like the harder edge psych prog stuff check out Italy's Osanna and Socrates drank the Cronium. Check out aquariusrecords.org. Thats how I found out about most of this stuff. Really good resourse and you can order direct!-Tyler

I'm going to start confusing genres here, but I really loved the Michael Martin Murphy Cosmic Cowboy album, which is no longer in print. I believe it was recorded here in Austin.

Weird kinda country psychedelic fusion stuff, brilliant song writing.

OS MUTANTES!!!
They were brazillian right? More of a fun poppy psych band than the (said in dramtic tremeloed psych voice) "am i freaking you out...can you deal with me...and my freaky jams?!?"

Here's a really good one...

Bobby Darrin- "Bobby Darin Born Walden Robert Cassotto"
It's his late sixties freak out record (no cd yet) very homerecordy-indierocking stuff. It really is a lost jem.
