So how do you go about calibrating a reel-to-reel? I have a Teac 3340s that I haven't used in years because the meters don't correspond to what's going to tape. Do I need a service manual as well as a calibration tape?

Stupid question, I know... but I can't seem to find anything decent on the web about it.

This is really your best bet:

look under publications...they have a paper on how to do most things relating to tape.
