Judging from most of the posts, why not just go with 'Cheap Bastards'?

how about something old china like HAPPY SOUND MICRPHONE or PEE PEE SOUND (pacific pro) ,,,, "ribboned for your plessure" and have fun with your asian bargain instead of trying to slick them up to insinuate german quality like some marketers. how about an even larger buying club thru tape op ad and pre sell twice as many for a better price?

howzabout "Mr. Limpet brand Microphones"
not to worry, just keep tracking....

and we could have an anime furry creature as the logo. like batzo maru holding a "ribon mik" that "gets with much happiness good sound waves"southtrunk wrote:how about something old china like HAPPY SOUND MICRPHONE or PEE PEE SOUND (pacific pro) ,,,, "ribboned for your plessure" and have fun with your asian bargain instead of trying to slick them up to insinuate german quality like some marketers. how about an even larger buying club thru tape op ad and pre sell twice as many for a better price?

sure, with a nice order like that you might also specify built in xlr to save trashy cords, accessories, cheaply made cases, even flashy packaging, color printing etc. stuff you throw away from being made or shipped. so you send a message- just make a good mic on the inside where it counts , for a good price. cause you know you will need to replace the ribbon with a good one and tension it properly. there is an article for the next issue- the 1.8 micron crimped ribbon installation and tuning/tensioning ritual. not expecting china to do a perfect "set up" right out of the box is important to understand before spending even 150.00! this maybe why ribbons fell out of favor. skilled maintenance. maybe all mics should be sent straight away to one of the experts for a quantity discount on ribbon replacement and testing then be sent to buyers that way everybody gets a good sounding mic at a great price

I proudly agree with Jeff--though I like Tiger's suggestion too.Jeff Robinson wrote:Judging from most of the posts, why not just go with 'Cheap Bastards'?
