the new Mackie ONYX series. Any one use one yet?

I'm on limited budget, actually no budget right now. I like firewire situation built into a board. They boast that the pre's and EQ's are the best yet. Anyone use one yet?

I spoke to somebody I know who is a Mackie tech, the truth about the Onyx pre's is that they are XDR pre's they have been stightly modified by perkins to color them with a more pleasant EQ.

I wonder what he does in the mod, any idea? If the result is good, I guess it's a good thing. Any word on the EQ section?
