Leper Kahn

In whos universe is this clever? I fell over when I heard that one. I'm sure someone can top me with some stunningly bad local gems.

After that, most idiotic new rock and 'Orange County' teen rock bands emerging on MTV and FUSE on a weekly basis, ie: Finger Eleven, Saves the Day, Good Charlotte, Puddle of Mud, etc.

It's sheer agony.

I was in a band that was called Melo. we thought it would be clever to misspell mellow. we eventually realized what a bad name that was. I dont know what we were thinking

My favorite aren't meant to ever be clever. Most of these bands have some pre-concieved notion that their names are serious rock band names... and that they're serious in return, so here's my favorites...

Faded
King Me
Factor 8

They all take after the uber cool sound of Creed, Nickelback etc. It's so sad...

I like Scarecrow Balcony. It reminds me of one of my all-time favorite band names, Caveman Shoestore.

My wife and I were having a worst-band-name-you-can-think-of contest. My best entry was Sports Bra.

Steel Pole Bathtub..one of my favorite bands but i remember when i first heard the name it was the same night i saw them play for the first time...i soon realized the name didn't matter at all.

And don't get me started on those horrible psychological metal bands whose names are entire sentences...

Any newish bands that are using the words super or radio in their names should be shot. Those words are waaaaay too overused and cliche.

How about "...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead."

I like some of their stuff, but I have always hated that name. And any "sentence" band names.

I read about a metal band called "Morta Skuld" the other day, I thought that was pretty awful as well.
