i havent used mine in a long time but you can use it as a low volume recording amp it sounds pretty good for a 6x9 i think it has a ext. speaker out. i used it as a bass pre amp and that sounded pretty good. I disconected the cable to the motor to quiet it. mine came with a cool shure crystal mic thats fun for that telephoney sound. I have never even put tape on it but for the pre and amp its fun,
