Maybe we should meet up and form our own little tape op "cult".

Hell Yeah! I'm going, I would be glad to meet up with anyone, tape oper's rock, SF rocks, and AES Rocks as well. I am staying in Oakland with a friend but wouldn't mind meeting up with some folks for a beer or whatever.

I'll be there, hopefully attending as much of the student activities as possible. I've never been to an AES show, so i don't really know what to expect, other than an amazing exhibit hall. I'd be down to meet up with anyone that is going, just let me know where and when.

I'm not planning on going to AES unless I manage to find a free pass, as I'm a poor grad student. However I wouldn't mind meeting up with some Tape Op people. I think the best place to meet up might be the Hotel Utah Saloon. It is at 500 4th st at Bryant, about 3 blocks due south of the convention center. The Utah is a friendly little space with mellow live music.

I think it be cool to meet with tape op guys. I'm going. Poor college student here as well and I'll probably volunteering- I still need to register for that, but I think they might give free admission for volunteering.

They do give free entry for volunteering, but there is a deadline. I think it's coming up pretty soon too. Go to the AES website and they have a form you can fill out. You do like 1 or 2 shifts of 4 hours or something. It is well worth doing if you can not come up with the funds for ticket/membership.

Exactly what I was going to say. Just volunteer. You work a few hours out of the day and the rest is yours. They feed you lunch and you get free swag too! DO IT.

Chris Miller- You live right 20 minutes or so from me. I live right next to Folsom. That's kinda cool.
