Firewire Interface

Ok - I know this has been talked about recently, but I need straight up opinions. Running from an Otari 5050 8 track into an imac. What do you recommend? The review of Metric Halo's 2882 in the last issue was nice, but the unit is pricey. Someone mentioned elsewhere that 192 is available in 2 track conversion - do we have 8 tracks yet?

I am currently eyeing the Presonus Firestation pretty hard. Fits the price range, with some left over for an external harddrive. Opinions?
