Help with soundcard?

I just got a Wave Labs 8/24, however, I can't get my computer to recognize the 8 ins / outs, only 2 tracks at a time. The manual is pretty much worthless on this topic. Maybe someone out there has one and can hep me to a proper set-up?

I have a PC with a pentium 2, 10 gig HD and 256 RAM. I'm running Cool Edit Pro v.2 for multi-tracking.

Help?
