If you all wanted, we could also host it at my studio. I'd be more than happy.
I thought a studio would be ideal, but mine is small and in Reston, VA, so I didn't offer up. Where is your studio? I think Silver Spring/Montgomery County (Chuck Levin's is up there in case not everyone knows) is probably going to win out in terms of travel times for most of us.

Also, ya'll who can't make it on Monday, what's a better day/time?

is any of this still happening? I am in Baltimore too, but I work in Bethesda. Anywhere in between is where I can be.

How 'bout we try again. With me liking the idea, that gives us three votes for Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring as a location. It shouldn't be too far for those of us in outer VA or upper Baltimore.

So now is the challenge of WHEN?

What about a Saturday evening? I'm just thinking of avoiding anyone having to drive through rush hour traffic.

Maybe if we plan far enough out it will work better. I'm going to suggest another meeting:
Saturday, July 19th at 6:00pm at Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring

If that place or time is bad for you, please suggest something else. Also, if you are a definite to show up, post on here and I'll call and see if they take reservations when we get closer to the date.

The Quarry is a good meet-up spot if we can't find a studio as a middle ground. It would be nice if people could bring some gear to play around with.

But Saturday evenings are tough for me. A weekday evening might be better. How about next Monday, June 30th, say 7pm? People shouldn't have to deal with too much rush hour traffic then, especially since it's the week of july 4th.

Yeah, if anyone has a studio in the Silver Spring area, that would be ideal.
Our last attempt got several responses indicating Mondays were bad, but maybe that was just that particular Monday.

Let's take votes: Monday 6/30 at 7:00pm, or Saturday 7/19 at 6:00pm?

Or maybe both?

I vote for Saturday, July 19. Weeknights aren't super good for me.

Monday could do. July, very iffy. Not working on anything for the next week and a half so could take stuff out of the rack if it's a beer'n'gear sorta thing.
