Charleston WV area people???

Post by justhitthebutton » Sun Jun 03, 2007 4:27 pm

Well, I just spent 3 days moving across the country and putting everything into storage. Gotta get cracking on finding a new space. Are there any tapeop'ers in the Charleston West Virginia area?
can it really look better than it sounds?

I live in Barboursville (basically Huntington). My good friend Max is also a reader and lives in Huntington. If you get a space up and running, we'd love to come check it out.

We are in North Central WV (2 hours from you.) Welcome to the state, if your ever up north look us up. Not exactly the neighborhood, but I have often wondered if there are any other TapeOpers in WV.

My son's band plays the Charleston/Hunt. area now and again.

Awesome. We passed through Huntington/Barboursville heading into town on Friday. I think youre like 45 minutes away. Once I get a new (old) console I will be ready to go. Im going this week to look at space/buildings.

They play Morgantown a lot, we were just in Red House WV about 3 weeks ago (halfway between Charlestown and Hunt)

I guess there isnt many of us here. Sad Iron, sorry we missed you, if your ever back in town look us up.

justhitthebutton, what kind of console are you in the market for? I mix ITB, so the small console I have is in a box on the shelf. Def into the vintage sounds though, all our pres are tube or discrete trans/FET.

Im still looking for an MCI 636 or a Sony 3036, or the like. It seems when im not looking for something, there are millions of them, but as soon as i want something, theyre hard to find. Same with audio gear.

I'm in Huntington. If you get a space going, I'd like to check it out.

Also, any of guys ever want to get together for a beer, give me a shout.
