good man. when i was building the studio, anything that was any good stayed in the boombox on repeat for days. i listened to nothing but the verve's 'storm in heaven' for a week straight.

Just got my copy of Earth - Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light 1. Not sure what I think, so far. They're great at what they do, but I miss how lush their last album sounded.

Pink Floyd - The Wall

Vera into Bring the Boys Back Home is easily one of my favorite parts. The strings and horns are amazing on Bring the Boys Back Home

Bill Withers.
Too bad he does not make any more music.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

Have you seen the documentary? Man, I wish some film festival around here would get it. It looks like it's pretty great!

Ain't no sunshine now he's gone.

JAMC, Stoned & Dethroned: a old fave.

Twinemen

Springsteen's latest Darkness outtakes: much better than expected, kinda the lighter side of that record what was my favorite.

zooropa. a goofy but oddly charming record. it's kind of throwaway and really solid at the same time. goofy.

I know what you mean....I keep wandering if that album was a joke that they managed to pull off with an incredibly straight face.

nah U2 aren't really capable of jokes. as a band. individually i'm sure at least adam clayton is hilarious.

as i understand it, they started zooropa right after achtung baby, just cause they were inspired. and they were really just fucking around and at some point realized they had a record. anyway 'babyface' is pretty whatevs and 'numb' is terrible but the rest of it is pretty damn solid tunes. and/or total ear candy. the wah guitar on 'dirty day' is surely one of the awesomest sounds ever put on tape by anybody anywhere.

i hate everything they did after this one though!

Steve Wynn, Northern Aggression: the production is a bit raw as are the performances; it's really, really good.

Black Dub: I am liking this more as I spin it, while still being disappointed it doesn't sound like the youtube "making of" vids.
