it's in my signature now, but a friend who I recorded/produced/collaborated with created a bandcamp site a month ago for the pre release of his EP. check it out if you have the time...we'll rotate songs later this week.

I really like how bandcamp works on iPhone in mobile view, sounds nice (for mp3s).

Rock-n-soul, recorded with a temperamental Teac 80-8.

Probably wouldn't have happened without the wisdom and patience on tap at this very forum. The journey that started when I pulled that tape machine out of some dude's garage has been an interesting one, indeed.

my band Stagnant Pools. This album was recorded in a little over a day, I think it sounds pretty good considering the circumstances. The only thing I would have changed is running it through an outboard tape saturation during the mastering :(
I was talking when I should have been listening

Rita Records

Post by mangoose » Wed May 08, 2013 10:43 pm

Howdy, I started an indie label, Rita Records, with a few friends. Our first two releases:

RITA001 - Island Boy S/T EP- electro, pop, shoegaze

http://islandboy.bandcamp.com/

RITA002 - Labs - Lazy Recordings - noise, drone, ambient, lo-fi

http://labslabslabs.bandcamp.com/

Love you tapeop MB and all the wonderful people here. Thanks for listening :)

Here's a record my friend and I have finally finished- along the lines of some Jim O'rourke/Gastr del Sol meets vintage Yes- its an instrumental record... lots of movement. Recorded in a cabin (the acoustic instruments anyway).

Not mine, buy my Philly beer buddy Robbie Bennett, multi-instrumentalist for The War on Drugs. Recorded allovertheplace and mixed by my bud Jeff Zeigler over at Uniform Recording here in Philly.
