http://music.lorenzostractor.com redirects to http://lorenzostractor.bandcamp.com/ which is where we put all of our "official releases". Mostly so we can find them and stream them when we want to...

I spent 1/2 of 2012 and part of 2013 working on this with Creepoid and Kyle "Slick" Johnson (Modest Mouse, WAVVES, Nothing) and playing with them as a sideman on keys and lap steel. This record is absolutely killer and I'm super psyched for these folks. Have a listen.

One of the bands that I play in, Northern Arms, has released our first single off of our debut record.
http://northernarms.bandcamp.com/track/ ... uve-got-on
This was recorded and mixed by Jeff Zeigler (Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs).
I recorded nearly half of the record, and play lap steel on two songs. The other four songs were done between Brian McTear (Sharon Van Etten, Weathervane.org, Mazarin, a zillion others) recording and mixing a song and Jeff Zeigler recording 3 songs and mixing 7 of them.
Psyched for everyone to hear this whole thing once it gets released in mid-June.

indie rock / punk / band
http://forgetthis.bandcamp.com/
these are some early reviews of the album
"For fans of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Titus Andronicus, Bruce Springsteen, and The Replacements, throwing a few coins in the guitar case of a disheveled busker playing a song in a gas station parking lot about all the things you've left behind and all the things you're driving toward."
- Pierce Lydon, best shots
"This music sounds as if it was made by Conor Oberst's younger and less talented brother. Why listen to this music when Conor Oberst has 50 songs with the same structure, same voice, BUT better melodies."
- Vlatko Libl, The Blamo Net

Debut record from my band, Northern Arms.
I co-engineered "Warm Springs Georgia," "Build My Gallows," "Last Horse," and "Flesh of Arms." Basically, everything except for drums and bass, which were done last August (live, with the band in a house together...I re-tracked the gtrs and keys). I worked on the remainder of the tracking in March 2014 at my spot I ended up playing lap steel and a little guitar on "Last Horse," and "Flesh of Arms." However, I'm playing bass with them live.
"Below the Pines" was recorded and mixed by Brian McTear (Sharon Van Etten, Mazarin, a zillion other amazing bands) over at Miner Street Studios here in Philly. The other 3 songs were tracked by Jeff Zeigler (The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, A Sunny Day in Glasgow, etc), and Jeff also mixed 7 of the album's 8 songs.
Anyway, have a listen. Dark Americana. For fans of Tom Waits, Nick Cave, etc. We also have 3 new songs together that we'll be playing in Brooklyn and Philly next month. Hope to see some of you at those shows. Come say hello!
