Old man rock; Cohen & Cash

Picked up Johnny Cash' VI, and Leonard Cohen's recent Live (DVD).

Both are life-affirming, death-affirming, and simply wonderful.

Cash: 4/5 olives because it's a little religious for me and not particularly rocking or complex, but very affecting.

Cohen: 5/5 olives - I can't say enough good things about this; it ain't rock, he ain't really a singer, butt the musicianship is top-notch, the poetry of the lyrics and the songs as well.
