Cool vinyls, shred. I can't quite make out the "Living Colour" on my tiny screen; is that a shade of green? I think the colored vinyl looks awesome, and I'm thinking about it for our next release, but it's supposed to have an effect on sound quality(?), and the expense, oy. That not your shelving, btw, is it?
Congratulations on the TT Jeff. Long may it spin.

Here's a brief history on colored vinyl and picture discs and some of the more creative examples to help you with your album design decision.
...and that was some other poor soul's shelving collapse.

Does colored vinyl affect sound quality?
Music Industry Survival Guide- Everything you need to know about vinyl.
"There are lots of cosmetic options for your records. Depending on where you're getting your records pressed you can choose between various solid colors, transparent colors, swirls, the marble look or picture discs. It's a commonly held belief that there's a drop in sound quality when you stray away from black vinyl; lighter colors and clears especially... followed by an additional drop off when you go to picture disc. There are two schools of thought on why black vinyl sounds best, one is that it's the purest and contains no color additives. The other school of thought is folks putting an emphasis on the lead content present in most black vinyl. Black vinyl does indeed contain a small amount of lead and it very well may play a part in the sound differenc- es. Admittedly, I don't have much background in terms of picture discs but from what I understand the production process is much different than regular vinyl records and that the compound used is closer to PVC plastic than it is to vinyl. Like most things with records it's just a choice you have to make as to which is more important to you the best sound quality possible or a cooler presentation. Personally, when I'm in the record shop having to decide between the 180 gram version of Velvet Underground with Nico or the version on banana yellow vinyl I go with the colors but many choose otherwise."

Good information and cool vinyls, shred. You seem to have found an endless source of pristine edge Jazz vinyl; sweet. I used to play that Yusel Lateef a lot! Can't go wrong with Canonball or Kirk. You like the gypsy guitar players; have you heard Birelli Lagren?
Back to the informative warping article-- I'm pretty interested in that Vinyl Flat device.

Glad you found some of that stuff useful.
As for an "endless jazz supply", I've been pretty tenacious about hitting up the local vinyl shops of late and that has paid off.
No, I hadn't heard of Birelli Lagren. Another name to check out. I still have yet to check out dfuruta's recommendation of Getachew Mekurya, the monster Ethiopian saxophonist as well.
Enjoying the journey.

If you have any questions about setting it up post em on here and I'll help you out. Setting it up is to difficult with the right tools and a mild amount of patience.
You should order one of these Shure tonearm gauges to set the proper weight when it gets in.

Great jazz picks shred! I really dig that Pharroh Sandrs album, Yusef Lateff, Roland Kirk. Good shit. I just picked up John Coltane's "Ascension" yesterday. Great album, real wild stuff.
Also love that you have a John Cage album.
