Testing the waters, old gear to unload-Seattle

Post by touched1 » Wed May 14, 2008 11:04 am

It's broken/unused gear posting day for me.
I have the following things collecting dust in my basement:

-Mackie 1604 (original not VLZ)
-Yamaha SPX900
-Yamaha SPX90
-Tascam 4 Channel DBX NR for the Tascam 38 (x 2)
-Possibly non-functional Tascam 38 (probably not worth shipping)
-Powermac G4 (PCI model, 350 or 400mhz I think, specs to come, probably best sold locally)
-Powermac G4 MDD 1.42 (no specs at this time, but would sell with at least 512-1GB of RAM and a few hundred GB's of storage.
-Cinemalift Apple Cinema Display (old style) display arm (very cool for old Apple LCD's)
-Quick Lock Speaker stands (I may keep these)

Maybe some other stuff...

I need to change the battery in the SPX 900. And when I used it last, the SPX 90 was spontaneously powering off.

I need to go through and test this stuff. Let me know if you're interested in any of
I am not sure of the state of the Tascam 38. I need to check it.
I suspect the DBX units are fine.

PM me if you're interested in any of it.
I am not in a rush, and it will take me a bit to get things tested and shipped.

Ironic, I was just considering picking up a Powermac G4. A shame I'm not local, but still curious as to specs and price.

The value of the older G4's is at a point where the shipping may exceed the value of the machine. So it's no good for anyone. If I found a cheaper means of shipping, I'd be open to it.

The G4 will be cheap. I have a few other G3's/G4's that will be up for sale in the near future.

I don't have prices on anything. I will do better than whatever the ebay standard is on all items.

Added the Cinemalift display arm and speaker stands.
Open to trades, but I am not looking for much at the moment. Trying to get rid of stuff not get more!

Bump. I am moving next week. It would be good to not move this stuff.
Sorry, no prices, make an offer.

I am pretty sure I am keeping the Speaker stands.

PM me with questions or offers. Prefer Seattle area only at this point, but open to all offers.

I have no idea what a Powermac G4 MDD 1.42 is worth...I'm guess it could run Pro Tools LE 7.4 pretty easily? Firewire? Do you have a display, keyboard, and mouse? Airport?
Still waiting for a Luna reunion

Ebay is a good starting point for a ballpark price.
Yes, you could run Pro Tools on it easily.

No display. I could maybe provide a KB/Mouse. It does have airport, but I may pull it and sell it separately.

If you are in Cincinatti, not sure the shipping would be worth it for you. But we could talk about it.

Do some research and find out what you need for your rig.
