Alice mic kits - $55 each (SOLD - see thread)
Hey there,
I've got a small number of Alice mic kits available right now. These are the "everything in a bag" kits, all the parts needed with a CDR of build photos and some notes on construction. Requires a bit of dremel or maybe hacksaw work to cut the side vents, and drilling for screw holes. Oh, and you have to solder some brass mesh to make the windscreen. Otherwise it's pretty much like soldering together a stompbox kit.
$55 each, plus maybe $5 for shipping. Add $20 to get the modified capsule that makes it an "Audrey" mic, basically flatter (less hyped top) frequency response than the stock capsule.
(oh yeah - it's based around the TSB-165A capsule. See my webpage for details - http://www.scotthelmke.com/alice-mic.html )

The kits are kind of tricky for me to do, since I'm not really doing microphones much these days (got a regular job, audio but I'm not spending a lot of time hustling mics on the side anymore). There are a lot of little parts which I do in batches now and then, so sometimes I've got the parts for a dozen mics and other times I'm missing a few bits for even one.
That being said, there's enough interest that I'll try to offer kits on a more regular basis, maybe every year or two. Still limited quantities, but at least not every 4 years.

Yeah, if you put some together, I'd definitely be picking up at least two. Heck, if you need to, raise the rate $5-$10 a kit. Make it more worth your wild.
